The PRuF announces a conference of nearly all project members of the Political Party Database Project (
PPDB; see current research projects) funded by the Fritz-Thyssen-Foundation. The conference will take place at Schloß Mickeln, the guest house of the Heinrich-Heine-University, and will bring together 21 renowned party scholars and several younger academics. The participants will come from 17 countries including the USA and Australia. The project aims at collecting internationally comparable data on the organization of political parties which will be made accessible to the academic community.
